Come celebrate the National Park Service’s 100-year anniversary with an evening of poetry, music, theater and dance.
The Centennial Art in the Park Showcase will take place on August 26, 2016, from 4 – 8 p.m. at Overlook Park, part of the Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park, located at 72 McBride Avenue in Paterson, NJ.
Featured artists include: the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Hispanic Roots Quartet, Impact Repertory Theatre of Harlem, Inner City Ensemble Theatre & Dance Co., Jaimeo Brown & Drummers, the Paterson Music Project, Poets reg e. gaines, Kurtis Lamkin, Laura Boss, and Angela Kariotis, and the Passaic County Youth Poets.
A mural created by Halls That Inspire will be unveiled during the event, and photography by the Centennial Class will be exhibited at the Paterson Museum in the Great Falls Historic District (a partnership of the Paterson Youth Photography Project, Paterson Public School #7 Class of 2016 (The Centennial Class), the National Park Service & PCCC).
